It is our goal here at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church to make you as
comfortable and welcomed as possible as you visit with us.  We want your
experience with us to be a pleasurable one.  We will go out of our way to
extend our friendship to you.  Here at Pleasant Valley, we realize that visiting
different churches, trying to find a home church can be very stressful.  We
would like to answer some of the more frequently asked questions you may
have.

What is the primary purpose of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church?  Here in the valley,
we believe that God has a purpose for us all.  This is described to us in Matthew
28:18-20 and other places throughout the New Testament.  God has commanded us to
GO, PREACH, TEACH Jesus Christ as Saviour.  This is the purpose and mission of our
church.  We believe that the local church is a place we can come together and worship
our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

What time are services and where are you located?  Click HERE for service times
and directions.

Where do I park?  We have reserved parking near the side entrance of the auditorium
for the disabled.  All other parking is open to first available.

What should I wear?  When you come to one of our services, you will find people
dressed in a wide variety of styles.  We do ask that people wear clothing that does not
draw attention to themselves (modest apparel).  We think that what you wear to church
should not detract from the worship experience of others around you.  We want all of the
attention to go to Jesus Christ.

What are the services like?  Services generally last about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.  We are
confident you will enjoy the variety of traditional songs provided by our choir and special
singing.

What are the Pastor's messages like?  Pastor Flood gives Bible-based messages
lasting from 30 to 45 minutes.  His messages are timely and applicable.  Audio tapes of
the messages are also available.  Click
HERE to listen to our Pastor as he preaches.

What do I do before the service starts?  If you arrive before the service starts, you will
notice that our auditorium is filled with plenty of comfortable pews.  There is no reserved
seating, so you may sit anywhere.  Many people will be greeting one another during this
time.

How will I know when to stand?  The Pastor or the Minister of Music will ask the
congregation to stand or sit.  There should be no apprehension on your part of not
knowing what to do during the service.  It will all be pretty clear.

Do you give public invitations at the end of the service?  At the end of the message,
Pastor Flood invites anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus
to accept Him.  This is also a time for personal prayer with God over changes we may
need to make in our lives. Counseling is also available for spiritual needs.

Do I need to donate money when I visit?  Pleasant Valley Baptist Church does
believe giving is a Biblical principle, and we do encourage it.  However, our guests
should not feel under any obligation to participate.  We do take an offering that is
designed for those who are part of the Pleasant Valley family.

What are the accommodations for the disabled?  Pleasant Valley Baptist Church is
handicap accessible.  Handicap accessible parking is available near the side entrance
of our building.

What is available for infants and toddlers?  We have a well-equipped nursery to care
for your infants and toddlers.
